Practice History
Langanis Accountants Pty Ltd trading as Instone Accountants was founded by Dimitri with nearly 15 years of Public Practice Accounting and Tax experience in Adelaide.
Dimitri began his practice servicing a large family group as it’s foundation client, the practice experienced steady growth which led to establishing an office in Payneham.
In 2025, Instone Accounting & Business Services was acquired from Paula and Gary Hajek, committing to continue the legacy they had built. The Instone name was proudly retained, and the practice relocated to the office at Ridgehaven. Today, the firm services many clients with a growing team of 4 professionals.
The "Instone" name also carries a personal connection. Dimitri's family heritage traces back to the village of Monolithos in Rhodes, Greece which translates to "mono" (one) and "lithos" (stone). This symbolism of a "single, enduring stone" reflects the firm's approach providing stability, strength, and trusted guidance for individuals and businesses across Adelaide.
Our Background
Dimitri's great grandfather migrated from the Greek island of Rhodes to Australia before world war 2 in pursuit of a better life for his family, bringing with him the values of resilience, and determination to build strong foundations, values that continue to inspire the way the firm operates today.
He made the ultimate sacrifice by departing Greece without his family (wife and three young children) to pursue this goal and toiled for 10 years on back-breaking sugar plantations in Queensland without support to bring them to Australia. (Failure was not an option).
He reunited our family with the arrival of his wife and children in South Australia,1947 and began operating businesses in Norwood, South Australia with their support.

Our Foundations
Through his sacrifices and support, my grandfather and his siblings were able to establish their first business together in Elizabeth during the early 1960s. Building on this foundation, my grandfather later expanded into wholesaling fruit and vegetable product at Adelaide's iconic East End Markets, helping countless farmers and market gardeners bring their fresh produce to South Australians.
Continuing his father's vision of creating a better life for his family, he passed down not only opportunity, but also a legacy of passion, determination, work ethic and business acumen, values that continue to shape the way our firm serves the community today.

Next Generation Business
The spirit of enterprise continued on with my parents, who operated various businesses across Adelaide, South Australia and Melbourne, Victoria. From an early age, I was immersed in the world of business, before and after school, during weekends and holidays, and through countless dinner table conversations. These experiences gave me a deep understanding of what it takes to run and grow a business.
